Alexander Echeverri Ochoa, South America Coordinator, Director
A seed has been planted in my heart to help those in need. The true essence of happiness is more in giving than in receiving. Which is why together with this beautiful project I would love to give all my strength to ensure that this cause to which you can also be a part of becomes a reality. As coordinator for The World's Kitchen ("TWK") in Medellin, Colombia I am convinced that by doing well to others, their entire lives are changed and blessed. Living and being a part of the history in my city and having an understanding for its needs, but also knowing the locals who can influence and are willing and able to work everyday toward such a cause. |

Marc Marshall, Co-Founder and Director of Foreign Development
While working as a Producer/DJ, I met Orlando Marrero with a common interest in assisting the needs of adolescences around the globe. I was born and raised in Washington, DC where I've experienced the sensitivity of a young adult's life. I clearly discovered that during these tender ages, the need for attention is of high importance. As my life experiences developed, I learned that this is a universal problem for young adolescences. I also learned that by getting their attention and mentoring to them, lives can be changed. I began to think of how I could get people with particular wealth and power to use their influence to change the lives of young adults. Thus the idea for The World's Kitchen was born. |

Maria Karfis, Digital Media Consultant and Marketing Director for Communicate with a Cause
My passion for the World's Kitchen. In a time of personal struggle and desperation, when I was trying to find myself, I found something bigger than myself. In the wake of my father's passing I set out to find meaning and purpose in life. My journey brought me to Southeast Asia gazing upon a cruel world where children were starving and people were living in poverty. My eyes were opened to both the suffering that exists in the world and the lack of desire society has to help. After seeing hunger and desperation up close, I knew I wanted to do something. I came to realize that life is a blessing, but many do not get to experience the beauty of the world because they know only hunger and poverty. With this realization, I developed a passion and a purpose. I wanted to help those without hope, I wanted to feed hungry kids, I wanted to make a difference. Everyone has the ability to help by using their own skills and abilities. I can use my degree in advertising, marketing, and broadcasting to bring attention to the issue. Everyone can help by doing what they do but doing it with a cause! I want to spread awareness of The World's Kitchen and the fight against world hunger. I want to teach others to do what they do with passion for a cause, to Communicate With A Cause, to cook Dinner For A Cause, to Dance With A Cause. My goal is to help feed the hungry and to encourage others to contribute to the effort and in doing so find the same self-fulfillment that I have received from making a difference in children's lives. |

Rosa Cordoba, The World's Kitchen Model
I was born in the city of Medellin, Colombia. I use to work in hospitals but today I am living a long life dream of being a model. I enjoy every minute of my life traveling and giving back to those in need. I met Orlando in Miami, and I was so happy when he asked me to be a part of "The World's Kitchen". I love to give my time to young people by encouraging others to live their dreams. I love visiting these young people and representing such a great project like The World's Kitchen. |
